Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bosch TS1002 Table Saw Rear Outfeed Support ExtensionCustomer Review: outfeed extension Summary: 4 Starsvery useful for ripping long boards, 4 stars because it could be longer and sturdier but it works well as it is.
Customer Review: great value- must have Summary: 5 StarsNot sure why the outfeed is almost 1/2 the price of the left side support, but its you're going to drop the money for the saw, this is a must have accessory. Its solidly built and exudes quality, just as all Bosch tools do.
I didn't have a problem with the retaining clips being too large, as an earlier reviewer noted. I guess Bosch caught this mixup and remedied it.
Customer Review: Works great- but small defect Summary: 4 StarsI purchased the left and rear supports, and they make the saw much more useful for large sheet goods. I did have one problem with the kit. There are 4 c-clips that keep the support bars from sliding too far in, or too far out. These c-clips snap into grooves machined into the bars. The c-clips that were included are too thick for the machined grooves, and will break before they will slide into them. I found identical diameter c-clips at my local hardware store that were a few thousandths thinner, and worked perfectly. Either Bosch spec'd the wrong thickness clips, or they machined the grooves to be too small. Save yourself some frustration, and replace the c-clips. Bosch, if you're reading, try assembling this kit! Your manufacturer in China slipped on the Quality control- which is very unlike Bosch. I'm a huge fan of Bosch tools, but I also had a defect problem in my left support- threads were missing in the support rod, and it had to be sent back to Amazon for replacement. Bosch! You need to upgrade the Quality Assurance with this Chinese manufacturer.
Customer Review: outfeed support Summary: 4 StarsThe outfeed support is a handy thing to have on a table saw. The only problem that I have encountered in useing it is that flexible materials like thin plywood tend to flex between the saw and the outfeed support and hit the support instead of going on top of it. This problem can be fixed by using a peice of scrap as a 'brige' to help the material make it onto the suport.
