Customer Review: Doesn't countersink pins

Just returned mine and ordered a Grex 635 instead. I fired about 40 pins in hard and soft wood, tried various compressor pressure settings, and various settings of the so-called "depth control." The gun jammed once. If the air pressure is at the low end of the recommended range (70-100 lbs.), or if the so-called "depth control" is set low, pins will usually be proud of the surface. With the proper adjustments the best you can do is get them to be flush, which is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. According to Bostitch Customer Service, this pin nailer is not designed to countersink pins, but rather to leave them flush with the service. The "depth control" is a misleading name for what is really just another way of adjusting air pressure. It does NOT change the travel distance of the pin.Customer Review: Excellent pinner

Bought this because the price was way lower than most pinners. I wanted to get a Grex, but at over $200+ for one I couldn't justify spending the money. I also like Bostitchs 7 year warranty on their air nailers. I've used this on kitchen cabinets and also on a wood floor install (3/8" flooring - first and last rows). Sank into maple and oak up to 3/4" thick with no problems.Customer Review: Good gun, but be careful!!!!!

This gun is very useful for securing delicate trimwork when you can't or don't want to predrill. Perfect for hardwood molding. I just used it to lock crown molding mitres together and install dentil on the crown. It leaves such a small hole that fill is hardly ever needed. The one problem is that the trigger setup makes it very easy to fire accidentally. Overall, I'm very pleased with the gun and would buy it again.Customer Review: Good nailer

My first pin nailer. I've used them before, but this is the first I've owned. I like it. Works fine so far. I've shout about 500 pins now and never a jam. The inch and 3/16 is a good feature. Some stop at one inch. Sometimes you need the extra length. They say that size doesn't matter, but you know, sometimes it does.Customer Review: Good product Bad seller

From everything I read about the Bostitch Pin Nailer, I was looking forward to receiving it. CSN the Amazon merchant who I purchased from sent me a bar bell, then told me sorry nothing we can do, if you want the product you can buy it direct from their web site for 100.00 more; that's 52.00 more than Amazon who now sells it direct. I writing this review of CSN so potential buyers should be cautious when buying from CSN, they mix up SKU numbers so you may not get what you thought you bought. Don't know how you can be sure, but I guess it's like lotto.
