Customer Review: It's Excellent, and BETTER Than the Older One.

The older model got broken - not sure how. it looked like this one but was slightly larger i believe. i never liked it, it was too heavy and was slower to filter. This Atlantis model is terrific: light, filters quickly WITHOUT ANY remains, so your water is pure, 100% pure and the bad taste is completely gone. i like it, it is elegant and lovely. i won't talk about how good the filter/pitcher invention is in general, but about the model itself. So Atlantis is RECOMMENDED.

I've been using this pitcher for just over a week, and I'm happy with the taste of the water it filters. I'll definitely be spending much less on bottled water.
As other reviewers have pointed out, though, the filter does not lock in and so it's quite easy for it to slip out when you're filling/pouring from the pitcher. It takes some getting used to. Also, when pouring, you must do it carefully as pouring too quickly makes the water go everywhere due to that little "flap" over the spout.

And nothing else. Brita (and PUR, for that matter), make this product look slick and stylish, but there's not much inside that can make your water taste good. This is your classic placebo effect. The cartridge inside has carbon and taste enhancing media, which will grow mold or bacteria VERY FAST, and don't do much of a filtration. That is true for all Brita pitchers. Anybody who's slightly serious about water filtration will look somewhere else for products that are of better quality.

As someone already mentioned, if you are not careful, a bacteria or mold that WILL GROW in the cartridge will make you sick. That is why Brita recommends replacing cartridge every 2 months....basically you will spend money on changing cartridges that cost pennies to make, and did I mention THEY DON'T DO MUCH OF A WATER FILTRATION. Don't believe me, ask any water filtration specialist to confirm this. Because of poor quality, health hazards and the fact that it actually doesn't do what it is supposed to (filter water), I should give this product -1 (minus one) star. But it looks good and fits a fridge, so that turns a scale into a +1. But not much more.
