Tools and Hardware Reviews of Brita 42622 On Tap Filtration System, White/Chrome

Customer Review: Good filter
Summary: 4 Stars

I have always purchased PUR faucet filters in the past. This design seems more sturdy and the 2 seperate settings when not being filtered is handy. If this thing holds up over time, I will not go back to PUR.

Customer Review: Good filter until it breaks in 2 months!
Summary: 1 Stars

I have owened 3 of these so far and every one has started leaking
at the junction to the faucet! The leak is caused by a crack in the
plastic part that holds the filter to the screw ring that threads onto the faucet. Since this has not been fixed in over a year I can only assume that brita doesn't care if their expensive filter breaks after only two months of use! Don't buy one it wont last! Perhaps if enough people complain they might fix it, but I have read several complaints just like mine going back a year. Like I said don't buy one it will just break on you.

Customer Review: Good value, no problems with this Brita filter
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this filter. It has functioned perfectly for me without any problems. Just yesterday the "red light" change indicator came on after contanst use for 4 months. I think that is much better value than the Brita pitchers. Plus, there is no "plastic" taste if your water sits in the fridge pitcher too long. I highly recommend this water filter.

Customer Review: I've been using mine for years without a single problem!
Summary: 5 Stars

I use my Brita faucet filter every day to filter all my drinking & cooking water. It's infinitely more convenient than the pitcher filter & much cheaper (& lighter) than carrying home bottled water from the grocer.

I'm baffled as to how the other reviewers could find this water filter complicated to use. It just screws on the faucet. When it comes time to change filters, the old one pops out & a new one pops in. It takes less than 10 seconds. The indicator light resets automatically. I've never had a problem with leaking or dripping. It truly couldn't be any simpler to use. I *love* it!

Customer Review: Impressed
Summary: 5 Stars

I just screwed this onto my parent's tap and did a blind taste test, it does improve the taste of the water and is a heck of a lot easier than having to pour water into a filter every day! I'm going to go buy one myself--am a bit fearful that the water in my city will fill the thing up with calcium after a day or two but we'll see, will re-post here if I have any problems.

I'm not sure what 'red stuff' the person below is talking about but she seems to be on a mission; posting it on every brita filter product. If it were me, I would have it identified by a lab before blaming my health problems on it. As it says in the fine print at amazon, if you believe the product you are reviewing is unsafe you can report it to the consumer products safety commission.
