Tools and Hardware Reviews of Brita 42645 Aquaview On Tap Filtration SystemCustomer Review: Alternative to bottled and huge bottles of water? Summary: 3 Stars
We shall see. We've had this tap filter for about a month and so far very good. It was moronically easy to install on a fairly unusual kitchen tap and blends in nicely. Seems to be a fairly compact unit but I have nothing to compare to. Water coming through the filter compares nicely with the huge bottles of water we still get but will probably phase out and cancel. Thus far, I would recommend this unit.
UPDATE ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER on 6 Jan 10:
Just got off the phone with the excellent Brita Consumer Services, and this item has been discontinued. They are sending a newer model immediately for free. My experience is that the indicator light stopped working (but not the filter) after about a month after resetting and the adapters tend to leak if not installed just right. The water stream through the filter diminishes quickly to about 2 cups a minute (that's really slow) after one month or so even when the lights so all is OK.
Customer Review: Amazon Lies! Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered this item based on the picture Amazon shows. When it was delivered it turned out to be the smaller, cheaper version of the Brita filter. DO NOT trust Amazon photos of products. The price I paid should have been the upgraded model. Amazon will NOT help you with the return of an item supplied by a vendor they are apparently associated with. That is no way to treat customers!
Customer Review: Better Than The Original Summary: 4 Stars
I had the original On Tap filter but I had to replace it three times. I saw this one and thought it was worth a try even though it cost more. It was worth it. The whole system is more sturdy. It seems less likely that the seal will weaken like the old one because it doesn't move when you change the settings. Also, the filtered water comes out in a larger stream which makes it quicker to fill things. The only negative with this product is that it fits under the faucet and it is a bit bulky. It gets in the way a bit when I do dishes or if I'm trying to fill a pitcher for example. But that's not enough to deter me from this product. BUY IT. You won't be disappointed.
Customer Review: Brita Aquaview Summary: 2 Stars
We have very hard water here in Colorado and the Brita Aquaview attempts wothout much luch to remove the taste ofthe impurites.
Customer Review: Brita Filter simple Summary: 4 Stars
The filter I purchased was easy to install and works nicely. Has a few different stream settings with light display. Only problem is that the filter is somewhat large horizontally. Will take up a lot of space if you are installing it into a smaller sink. Other than that, no problems.
