Except for the slightly-looser fit with the refrigerator fitting in my Maytag Wide-by-side, it installed easily and without leaks (I'm currently on my second filter). It works every bit as well as the original Maytag filter at 2/3 the price. I've used Brita pitcher filters in the past; the water quality seems as good as what I'd get from the pitcher filters.Customer Review: Brita Replacement FIlter for Jenn-Air Fridge

We purchased these filters instead of the brand that came with the refrigerator because they are a fair amount less costly and because we've had good luck with other Brita filters in the past. Have used one of the six we ordered so far, for about a month, and the water tastes perfect just like it always has. The physical fit is a tad less tight on the fitting than the old filters, but it's got the same o-ring seal and doesn't leak. Don't know how long it will last before needing replacement again, but it should be every bit as good as the original. Recommended.Customer Review: Did not work well

The filter did not last nearly as long as the manufactures filters. The filter also slowed water flow. It takes twice as long to fill a glass as it used to. I'm switching back to the manufacturers. They are worth paying the extra money for (even if they are grossly over priced).
