I really like Amazon, and I've never been disappointed with a purchase before. However, I was forced to buy this elsewhere. After waiting two plus weeks for my order of the II model to ship I was informed it would be 3 months before it would arrive. My kitchen remodel was waiting on this item in order to finish the cabinet install. I changed models and had this one sent. When it arrived, the outside of the box looked fine, but inside it was covered in fingerprints, scratched on one corner, dented across the top, and had a big crease in the stainless below. In short, totally unusable. I wasted nearly a month trying to get this in, and had to put some effort into finding Amazon's number and dealing with distant phone service folks (email was much better). At least the return process was smooth.
Now that I have installed this hood, purchased from a different store, it looks nice and works well. It's a good thing they have lights on the front to let you know the fan is on. It's so quiet I've forgotten it's running several times already. I initially wanted the II or III versions because of their increased power/decreased noise levels, but this one is more than adequate. The only negative I've noticed is that some exhaust goes up thru the lights; the fan portion only really spans the back two burners. Doesn't seem to be a problem, though.

I purchased this product because I wanted to match my stainless steel appliances. I notice this hood was larger than my 1980's era hood that I inherited from the previous owner of my home. So, it was time for an update. The installation was not too hard for a DIY type person, such as myself. I purchased the hood in a chain home improvement store and didn't look for the reviews on Amazon like I normally do to see how others view the quality of a product. I was shocked to learn that Amazon sells the hood that I purchased for $100 less than I purchased it at the store. Wow! That is a big difference. If my cheapness weren't out-weighed by my laziness, I'd take the hood back for a refund and purchase it again on Amazon. Oh well, lesson learned.Customer Review: Good looking range hood

I Purchased this range hood because I was remodeling my kitchen with stainless steel appliances. I had a Broan hood before and I decided to buy the same brand only in stainless. I like the look and the 2 settings on the lights. The fan is quiet and works well. All in all, I am very pleased with the purchase and the Amazon price was $30 less than anywhere else...Customer Review: Looks great, but howls like a banshee

I was amazed at how quickly this hood arrived, first of all, especially right before Christmas. It is good-looking and the fan on the slow speed is nearly silent. The faster speed is louder, naturally. My husband installed it with minimal fuss and it's been working super ever since. I like having the two setting for the lights, too. I would buy it again - no problem. I would have given it 5 stars, but nothing's perfect!
