I have a detached garage..fifty feet away. I purchased this in december in New England. Installation was easy. I put the base unit near the bed so I will know if the garage door opens in the middle of the night. The Unit starts flashing and you have to unplug and replug back in.
This happens almost every night. Worst when it gets colder. I purchased this to replace my sears unit, but the sears unit works much better.. This unit is probably OK if not too far away from transmitter.

I am very pleased with the clicker. Installation was easy. It has worked very well since installation. We've already had several incidents when it informed us that our garage door was left open. I would recommend this product to anyone that has garage door. Well worth the money!!
