I meticulously followed the manual to program my remote (both methods) and it did not work. However, my garage opener was not one of the manufacturers explicitly stated on the packaging, so I guess that's not altogether unsurprising. This is probably a great product if your garage door opener is included on that list; however, buyer beware to check that list carefully. Who knew it was important to research a product before buying it? The colors on the "Add to Cart" button are so bright!!!Customer Review: Disappointed!

Purchased these openers from a great seller. Got them quickly and programmed them quickly as well BUT you practically have to stand at the garage door for them to work. 8 out of 10 times I actually have to get out of my car and walk to the garage door for it to work. Sounds silly but when its raining and snowing it gets frustrating! The range on the remote in horrendous.Customer Review: Does not support middle setting for 3-position DIP switches

I bought this hoping it could open my new garage door (with my Liftmaster 3850 it works perfectly, that part was fine) and also the gate to my community.
The gate to my community uses a type of Chamberlain 3-position DIP switch that the remote says it supports, but it doesn't support the middle-position. (The three positions are +, -, and 0 in the middle. This remote can't do the middle 0 position.)
If the 3-position DIP switches were used on my own garage, I could change the code on the opener and my remotes to avoid the middle position. But this is the gate to my community, and many people have remotes that open this gate. This remote is getting returned since it doesn't work for me...

I am very mechanical inclined, but I tried everything to get this item to work, but it does not. I guess I am the 10% of remotes that it does not work on. You would think they could have a list of compatable models #s instead of just brands. Wasted money..

This transmitter is a great replacement for my old brick from the 80s. Much smaller and the range is good as well. Directions are pretty straight forward. It has two extra switches my opener does not have. I had to play around with them, but wasn't a big deal. Great buy.
