Chaney Instruments Digital Alarm Clock with Green LED
I bought this to use in my entertainment center. While both my Cable Box, and DVD player have clocks on them, I would need a telescope to read either one from across the room. This Big Green Display is Perfect. I can see it from across the room, yet it doesn't interfere with TV viewing. The Green Display looks great with the displays on my Audio Receiver, and other equipment. I like the black housing, as it "disappears" into the background. All I see is the display. Looks Great!
This is an Alarm Clock, but I am using is strictly as a Clock. I haven't tested the Alarm feature.

I have bad eyes and needed a clock with big numbers. This clock works fine. The numbers can easily be seen across the room. The description states the numbers are green, but they are more of a avacado green, almost yellow. But that works for me, makes the numbers very visible. The dimensions of the face of the clock are 7 3/4" across by 3 1/4" tall. The numbers themselves are 2" tall by 1" wide. There is a hi/low dimmer for the lights. My only complaint is that its not as loud as I would like. I like my clocks really loud, so I don't miss school. I would rate this clock as being medium in loudness. Which is okay because some people prefer a less intense alarm. I haven't missed school, yet. The durability is the same as any other clock in this price range. I was looking for a basic clock that was easy to program and easy to view. The Chaney Instruments clock turned out to be an excellent value. Its programming is very straightforward. Best of all, the two-inch-tall green digits are easy to read from across the room. (You can adjust the brightness, by the way.) Overall, I am very pleased with this clock.Customer Review: Good bang for the buck.
