This is a great product, however I live in arizona where the temp is usually around 100 degrees. I use this outdoors on the patio for the plants that I can't get to all of the time, and it works okay. I was hoping it would keep the soil a little more damp than it does, but overall "great". When I leave for the day I set it to 10 days, and when I get home i turn it off and back on to 10 day setting. This keeps it good enough for my plants. The purpose of this system is to water your potted plants when you are away. I used it for plants under an outdoor porch. Because my plants were large and high, I mounted a small shelf high up on the wall of the porch, then placed the reservoir on the shelf,filled it with water and set it to 20 days. It worked very well. All plants survived a very hot and dry 2 weeks with one exception: A begonia received too much water!
Pros. The watering system sets up easily as long as you read the instructions and mount it high enough so gravity plays its part appropriately. Keep a record of how you place your plants if you plan to use the system more than once, because once you cut the hose, you are locked into that configuration. Once setup, the system is very reliable.
Cons. It would help if one could adjust the amount of water dispensed individually for each plant. Right now you can only adjust levels by adding or subtracting drippers. If you have plants that need less water than one dripper will dispense, you are stuck. It would also help if the documentation specified the hose type or offered a way to purches additional hoses so one can create several configurations as the plants come and go.
Conclusion: A product worth the money if you value your planst and like to travel.

Called before ordering to place an order for an Oasis Watering System, and was told they were in stock. We paid for expedited 2 day shipment, as we were going on vacation. Item never arrived after 4 days. Called to check on our order and we were told that they were on back order, and it would be about 2 to 3 weeks before they received them. We cancelled the order. Needless to say, we had to leave for vacation and pay for someone to come in and water our plants. This Company has no integrity.Customer Review: Disappointing. Product manufacturing cost <$15

I bought this item to water some balcony plants I had while I took a 2 week vacation. I had no power outlets, so its battery-driven design seemed great. Well, I am reporting back that this product is in fact not so great. Its construction is rather flimsy, with less plastic than your average painters bucket. The brains of the thing are held on a 1x1 inch chip attached to a flimsy dial. The hose and drippers are not particularly impressive either. This is all well and good, and I didn't care how thick the plastic is, but it didn't really work well! There were caveats to get the water flowing about removing air from the line, which was difficult for some reason, and the flow dynamics of this unit just weren't good. I had it situated on a table about 3ft off the ground to water some ground-level herbs. I returned from my trip to find a wilted array of plants.
Look elsewhere for your automatic watering needs. That is my take.
