I could not tighten the arms the coats hang on as tightly as I thought they needed to be, which troubled me at first because this coat rack is being used in an office setting. Thus far, the arms are still holding tightly. It is sitting on a concrete, outdoor carpeted, covered floor and is a bit unlevel but I do not think that is the stand. I believe it is the concrete work underneath. This rack is a sturdy product with an attractive finish. We have had several compliments regarding its look. I would recommend a buy. At first I thought the paint finish was too flat, but now we like it a lot. It's a sturdy stand with a great design, and looks great in our historic home. It's not cheap looking in any way, despite the good price. Screwing the arms on was a bit challenging as there was a bit of wobble to them, so you have to be sure to tighten them hard once they're properly lined up with the holes. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I wanted something elegant and sturdy for under $100. I shopped for months and had this in my basket forever before I decided on it. I got it for $60 including shipping. Boy am I glad I picked this one! It has a great weight, no chance of tipping and is beautiful! It took me less than 10 minutes to put it together. All you do is twist the two poles together and attach the 4 top pieces to the pole with a couple of bolts! Very woman friendly and came with the allen-wrench too!Customer Review: Great coat rack

I've had this coat rack for a few days and am loving it. It's very stable and does not wobble at all. I have put lots of heavy winter coats on it both adult and child and it holds them just fine. Someone mentioned having to evenly balance coats on this rack and I haven't had a problem with that. I actually have left one side free for company without problems. The instructions could be a little better. Basically it's just a picture with lots of arrows and you have to figure it out for yourself but once you get what's going on in the picture it's a snap to put together. Literally my 8 year old put the majority of it together once we knew what to do.
I got the sandy black which is basically an ashy or slighted faded black.I'm not sure how big a difference there is between black and sandy black. For me, the color looks great in my foyer and goes well with my banister. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
