I like the balance and solid feel of it. The handle is real comfortable and should keep it from slipping out of your hand. The sheath is fine for a $17 knife and I can't believe the people who complain about it(get a clue). My knife was labeled S. Africa and the sheath was labeled Taiwan. I will be using this for camping and hiking through woods.
Yes, the knife comes DULL. Mine wasn't just dull it had burs/rough spots on the blade towards the handle end. I gave it 1/2 stars off for that and another 1/2 off for coming so dull. I know it is suppose to come dull, but this had to be the hardest knife/machete I have ever put an edge on. I do like that I can put the edge/edges on it I prefer. razor sharp at the base and less sharp at the chopping end.
The reason I purchased this was due to the following torture test video. I will never put my knife through 10% of that, so I figure it will probably last a lifetime.

Final thoughts: I bought this knife to be a workhorse, not a trophy on a shelf. IF it last 1 years it will be worth the $17 I spent, but I imagine It will last quite awhile longer.
