I haven't really used the cord extensively yet, but the gauge is good for lighter and heavier duty equipment so it's worth the price. The bright yellow exterior coating is thick, durable and easy to spot in grass, dirt, etc. It's also a nice touch that the ends light up to let you know it's plugged in. I didn't really find any other 100 ft. cords that were a better value. This one also has water and fair cold weather resistance while meeting OSHA reqs. for heavy usage (whatever that means...)Customer Review: Good value

This is an excellent extension cord for an electric lawn mower or to run motors, such as drainage motors, since it has 12 gauge wiring that's necessary for the large current draw of motors. However, it won't hold up in cold weather and is not very flexible below freezing. For snow blowers and the like, be sure to use a low temp cable.Customer Review: Heavy duty extension cord

Not much to say, works great for my electric mower and any other items that need power far from the outlet.
It is quite heavy, but not too hard to coil up.

This is a high quality indoor/outdoor extension cord. Note that this cord is 12 gauge/3 conductor wire which allows use of things like a power blower(my use) at greater distances from the outlet.
You can get by with thinner wire like 14/3 if you are using lower power devices or devices with out motors or heaters. I would recommend checking with the manufacturer of the equipment you want to use if you are unsure about the power requirements of your device.
The trade off is that this cord is heavy and a little harder to handle particularly if it is cold. However if you need 100 feet or more cable I would recommend this item for most applications.
