I was having a problem with small black ants in the kitchen. It was difficult using a spray since the ants were in areas where food is placed. first tried Terro (had good ratings), but the ants weren't going for the gel. Next tried Combat, and the ants went for it like crazy (had to add more gel to the index card it was placed on). It's important that no matter how many ants come out of the woodwork, to just leave them alone and let them feed. After I checked on them the next day, they were gone and haven't returned. Just because these ants went for the Combat, doesn't mean that the Terro is no good, just that these particular ants prefer the combat gel. I'm keeping the Terro just in case the next colony doesn't go for the Combat gel, but might like the Terro gel (different formula).Customer Review: Disappointed

The best thing about my experience with this ant gel was the fast shipping and overall good job done by the place we bought this stuff from on Amazon.
I bought the Combat ant gel because my cousin told me it worked great for her. Unfortunately I don't have the same testimony. Some ants ate it, most didn't. A month after eating they were still feasting on the stuff. I'm sure it got rid of some but I wasn't impressed. I went to Walgreens down the street from my house and purchased Terro liquid gel. The stuff is like an ant magnet. They swarmed to the stuff and in ONE DAY I began to see a huge reduction in traffic. One month in, I haven't seen ants where I've placed the Terro liquid. When I see activity in a different part of the house I put some down there and get the same results. The stuff cost $3.50.

We live way out in the Oregon countryside and as you might expect, it's a damp and mossy place, ideal for ants. After 2 years of suffering to these pests (odorous house ants) and paying through the nose for exterminators to spray the entire house over and over and over we went looking on the net for an alternative.
We found this product and decided to give it a try, purchasing 2 syringes to make the shipping costs worthwhile.
The first time we applied the gel to the main infiltration routes the effects were instant. The ants flocked to the gel, ignoring all other food sources in the house and concentrating their attentions on consuming as much as they could get their nasty little mouths on.
Within a day, all ants were gone.
Fast forward to 2 years later and the ants are back but the second syringe was not. As soon as the first ant showed up, out came the tube and they're gone again.
This syuff still does the business and for half the price of other methods and a fraction the cost of "professional" prevention.

I really like the gel for it's convinience. One tube lasted us a long time. And it is easy to apply wherever spray is undesirable (kid's rooms, kitchen, any narrow spot). Better than a bait since the ants just can't pass this attractive poison. The only thing is to make sure that the've got enough.Customer Review: Hands down bar none best ever

I placed the gel in the same place I always see ants. This day I only saw about ten marching up the house where they always come in. Within ten minutes of placing the gel the whole wall became covered in ants, hundreds more of them came for the feast. It was like thanksgiving for them, feasting on the gel. I watched with joy knowing it was thier "last supper".
Next day I saw about 20, most dead or acting "drunk". The few that were OK were busy running toward thier "feast" (the gel). Day after that, 36 hours later, nothing but dead ants. Two weeks later, not one dam ant in my house and none seen climbing the wall.
Yes, I was a bit tired of the ants, the smelly sprays, and those boring bate stations (which I have used in past with some results).
Why WAIT for results? I am amazed that this stuff was so irresistable for them. This stuff is like ant candy, and we all know how ants swarm around a piece of candy. 24-36 hours wipes out the entire colony. I am sure one day they will return, I bought another tube just to keep as a spare. I hate to admit, I enjoyed the "show", and look forward to the next one.
No odor, no mess, easy & way more effective then any other product I have ever bought.
