I've had this product for a year or so, and I've held onto it because I liked it better than the travel steamer I had before it, but it has a lot of problems. I can't fill it with more than a few cups of water or it spits up boiling water rather than steam, causing several burns on my hands and arms. Running it on so little water means I run out after only a few garments and I have to refill and wait 4-5 minutes for it to heat up again. There's no way to clean out the resevoir, except to steam vinegar, and then it's very difficult to get it to stop smelling like vinegar for weeks after a cleaning! Now it's developed a leak and leaves puddles on the floor. I'm shopping for a better brand to replace this.Customer Review: Five stars with reasonable expectations

As mentioned by some, this will not replace an iron. If you expect it to you need to take your clothes to the dry cleaner. If you want to look presentable for work and hate ironing this was well worth the price.
I wear alot of women's button up shirts and find them to be very difficult to iron and my lack of patience and skill does not help. The steamer on the other hand was very easy to use and functioned to level that made me very presentable for work.
Good:
-I was able to steam all the shirts I own (10-11) and the several skirts and pants in about 30 minutes.
-even and strong steam if used correctly-READ the DIRECTIONS about what to do when the tube sputters and it wont dribble on your shirt or hands
-The pants and skirts were all synthetic material and this is when the steamer functioned at its best, only requiring 1 or 2 passes to look great.
- the shirts were all polyester cotton bends some were very wrinkly and though it did take alot of passes they still looked nice when they were done
-easy set up and clean up
-stores in a very small space
-I only paid $33 for mine at Bed Bath and Beyond with one of those mail coupons they are always sending out
-water reserve was only a little over half gone after may 30 minutes of steaming
Bad-
-makes wrinkly clothes slightly wet with lots of passes (this actually wasn't bad for me I just let them hang on the door knob to dry for 10-15 minutes and then put them away and they look great)--but not for last minute use like in the AM right before you are late for work
-does take a long time to heat up-- 10 minutes for full strong steam
-I burned myself a couple of times with the steam--not seriously-but I wont blame this on the machine as it was usually my fault for holding the garment and then trying to steam too close to my hand
All in all I am very pleased with my purchase especially for the price. I can't speak to the long term durability but I would recommend the purchase even if it only worked 3 or 4 times as my dry cleaning bill would be twice that by then.
Tips for successful use:
-read the directions- I know it sounds stupid but I was much more successful once I did-before that I was less than satisfied with the machines function

It works great as long as you don't fill it past the max water level. That's the only time I've experienced hot water spitting. Other than that, the steamer is great. I hardly ever use my iron now and it's especially great for mow delicate items.Customer Review: GREAT LITTLE STEAMER!

I BOUGHT THIS FABRIC STEAMER BECAUSE WE'VE RECENTLY BEEN DOING TRADE SHOWS FOR OUR BUSINESS...SOME OF THE ITEMS WE SELL ARE COTTON T-SHIRTS WITH OUR BUSINESS LOGO ON THEM. WHEN WE GOT THEM BACK TO THE SHOP, THEY WERE PRETTY WRINKLED EVEN THOUGH WE FOLDED THEM NEATLY IN OUR TRAVEL CASE. I STARTED IRONING THEM ONE BY ONE, WHICH WAS TEDIOUS & TIME CONSUMING, TO SAY THE LEAST. AND PLUS, WITH THE LOGO ON THE SHIRT, I HAD TO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH IT WITH THE HOT IRON BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE SMEARED OFF THE LOGO. SO, I WENT ON AMAZON THAT NIGHT AND CHECKED OUT THE FABRIC STEAMERS...THIS LITTLE GEM SEEMED TO HAVE THE BEST REVIEWS & GREAT PRICE TO BOOT! WHEN I USED IT ON THE SHIRTS THE WRINKLES CAME OUT QUICKLY, I COULD STEAM OVER OUR LOGO WITH NO PROBLEMS, IT'S COMPACT AND IT REALLY DOESN'T TAKE THAT LONG TO HEAT UP IN MY OPINION. EVERY NOW AND THEN IT DOES LEAK A LITTLE WATER FROM THE CONDENSATION OF THE STEAM, BUT YOU JUST HAVE TO STRETCH OUT HOSE AND LET IT RUN BACK INTO THE CANNISTER. I bought this steamer to use on new silk curtains, which were creased. For the price, it works fine. It takes a little while to heat up but once it's hot, it produces plenty of steam.
The hose collects quite a bit of water, and makes snapping sounds. It can also leave drips on the fabric and the floor. Be very carfeful, as water drops can leave marks on silk. Also the drips are very hot, and can burn you.
I looked at other professional steamers, and they were just too expensive. This works for any small steam application such as curtains, tablecloth, formal dresses, etc.
