I bought this for my husband since he hates to iron and doesn't like to spend money on dry cleaning. The first one I received did not heat up and neither did the second one. We both were terribly disappointed.Customer Review: Does not work.

This trouser press does not work. It does not heat up hot enough to get the wrinkles out of slacks especially those with rayon or polyester material which requires a higher heat setting. Also since only one side is heated, the slacks will have an uneven press on the two pant legs. I have found that if the slacks are not positioned right, you will end up with double creases on the pants which will require ironning to get out.Customer Review: Does nothing to wrinkle pants

Don't buy this thinking you will never iron your pants again.I tried both wrinkled and ironed pants on this thing and saw nothing that would justify its purchase.
Plus, only the bottom portion (the legs) go into the machine. This means that the part around your butt, front, and waist is left to itself. And if you are 6 feet and above, then only about 80% of the legs go into the machine. It is designed for short people.
It is nothing but a fancy closet appliance. You are way better off with an iron, and the plies you get with an iron are a billion time better than what this thing promise to deliver.
I returned it the next day.

The 550 Original Trouser Presser does the job. The rotary dial timer is convenient and is better than the 15 minute or 30 minute switch trouser presser variety. I travel to England quite a bit and have been using all kinds of trouser pressers there. The 550 is the real McCoy. Don't expect miracles, but this does indeed put those creases back in.

I have used mine for over a year and have saved way over the cost of the machine. Since I wear dress slacks every day the presser keeps me from having to take slacks back after one use. I get two wears out of my slacks now as long as I hang them up. The machine isn't a mircale worker but does exactly what I need and what it promised.
