Tools and Hardware Reviews of Corby 5500 Original Trouser PresserCustomer Review: I could not do without it Summary: 5 Stars
I have had one for years and would not be without it. I get the best results by putting my trousers in when I retire for the night and take them out in the morning. That way the crease is super an I either wear them the next morning or put them in the wardrobe for another day. They have been made in England since 1930's and my father had one before me.
Customer Review: I'm not sure I see the point Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this, thinking I could replace my current suit hangar for overnight. It did, indeed, replace my other suit hanger, but it heats up (barely) and while it does seems to get rid of some wrinkles, its nearly impossible to hang the pants correctly to not add other wrinkles.
Customer Review: It's not your mother's dry cleaner, but 5 Stars
Bottom line it does what it is suppose to do, press your pants.Does it press your pants as good as a dry cleaner would? No, but it is fairly close. Will the product save you money? You bet it will, I cut my dry cleaning bill by 40 percent the first week I had it. Is it easy to operate? Yes
Customer Review: Never Have to Iron Your Pants Again! Summary: 5 Stars
This is just a great product, especially if you hate ironing or taking all your pants to the drycleaners to get pressed. There is nothing more annoying than over time spending $100 dry cleaning a $30 pair of Chinos, 'cos you need them pressed. I am not sure why it is not as popular in US as elsewhere, but I highly recommend it.The only drawback on the old model was that the foam on the inside of the press, after about six years, developed grooves that detracted from the press of trousers.
Customer Review: Not for Tall People Summary: 1 Stars
The Corby does a so/so job in helping your pants with the creases and does remove wrinkles. I'm 6 4" so my pants where to long to fit in the Corby. If your short I guess the results would be minimal. I understand that it's not suppose to crease the upper area of the pants, but they look funny not being completely pressed. Save your money, I will be returning mine ASAP.
