Tools and Hardware Reviews of Corby 5500 Original Trouser PresserCustomer Review: Presser Review Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using a pants presser since 1990 after returning from a visit to London. My hotel roon had one. I bought this one for my son-in-law. He loves it.
Only difficulty was the first one arrived damaged in shipment. Amazom was SUPER in replaceing it, no questions, they simply wanted to keep the customer happy. I am. Well Done Amazon.
Customer Review: Read this before you order !! Summary: 5 Stars
Its hard to believe that anyone has bought a Corby Trouser Presser without having become familiar with it first - they are in use in thousands of hotels all over the world. However, judging by the reviews, people have obviously taken the name "Trouser Presser" rather literally, and expected that it will press your pants like a dry cleaner, or remove wrinkles like a steamer. Let's be clear about this - it will not! Most of us like to wear our (expensively dry-cleaned) pants for more than one day, and the Corby is a place to hang them overnight, gently warm and stretch them to remove wrinkles behind the knee, and "freshen-up" the press for the next day. The reason the Corby is the brand leader has to do with a unique lip on the edge of the press which stretches the pants, and the superior grip of the rubberized heating surfaces. So, if you know what its meant to do, you'd give it five stars, as do most leading hotels in the world, but if you have unrealistic expectations, you will be sorely disappointed.
Customer Review: Save Money, Look Smart Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using a Corby for almost 15 years. The only things that don't go in it are jeans, shirts, and ties. I have saved a lot of money on cleaning and pressing, which also saves on fabric wear. Why everyone doesn't own a Corby is beyond me. In Europe, every hotel has a presser. I looked at other pressers, but Corby has the reputation to back its product.
Customer Review: This works Summary: 5 Stars
I had previously bought the Orion Press Pro and it causes wrinkles. The Corby does a very good job of pressing my pants. It's longer than the others and will press all the legs and I'm 6' tall. Don't expect it to press the area above the legs, none do. But it gives a nice, flat press and a nice crease.
Customer Review: Useless, Completely Useless Summary: 1 Stars
This thing was a joke. It never got hotter than warm spit. The timer didn't work and it did absolutely nothing to press my pants!! This thing was so bad it makes me mad just thinking about it. I sent it back within 48 hours. Do yourself a favor and don't bother.
