Tools and Hardware Reviews of Cosco 11-120CBB1 Retro Chair and Stool Black and ChromeCustomer Review: Cool Kitchen Step Stool Summary: 4 Stars
Bought this Costco step stool for my newly remodeled kitchen in order to reach the top shelves of my cabinets. It is very modern looking and sturdy, however, it wasn't a piece of cake to put together. Took some extra time to assemble it and had to make some adjustments because they never manufacture parts to fit easily. Other than that, I like having this piece of furniture in my kitchen.
Customer Review: Cool Stepstool Summary: 4 Stars
We needed a stool like this in our kitchen. We like the vintage look. It works for what we wanted, but my husband did have to tune it up a bit. It did not sit quite level. He ground down 2 of the legs to remedy the problem. Hopefully we received the only one with this issue. After that, it sits very nice and comes in real handy when we need to reach a higher cupboard. They should come up with more color choices to match everyone's decor. It was delivered fast and packaged well.
Customer Review: Cosco Quality Questionable Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this as a gift for my mother..unfortunately, never was able to give it to her. When my husband attempted to assemble it, he found the hole on one leg was stripped out. He callead customer service (on hold for 30 mins) and described the problem. They promised to replace the defective leg....but,never did. A month after waiting for the part, he sent an email to their customer service address with detailed info regarding the defective part...after 3 weeks still no word or replacement. Amazon is sending return label...will be glad to have the parts and box out of my living room!!
Cosco you can do better than this!
Customer Review: Dangerous, Flimsy, Manufactured poorly Summary: 1 Stars
The marketing of this chair is nice, that's it, don't be fooled. When it arrives prepare for considerable "assembly required". Several pieces had to be modified by bending the openings wider to allow the screws to go through. The chair is much smaller than the picture portrays and the legs are uneven. I would not let any children or elderly use this product. It is poorly manufactured, flimsy, and dangerous. Hard to return after you spent an hour putting it together. It now becomes "garage furniture".
Customer Review: Decent product Summary: 4 Stars
This picture makes it seem larger than it really is. If anyone has the old Cosco step stool (with a seat that flips up and stationary steps), this is almost the exact same size. It is just big enough to fit those of us with larger frames. It is, however, decently comfortable and stable. The steps seem a little wobbly, and are kind of short, but also are stable enough to do their job decently. The steps also fit loosely in the tracks, and are prone to fall out if you pick up the chair and hold it at certain angles.
Assembly was pretty easy, but things didn't line up perfectly. It has all the hardware and a few extras, and all you need is a Phillips screwdriver.
Overall, this is a decent product. We use it in our wood shop, but perhaps it is better suited for more household uses. It is also available in different colors, so look around.
