It's a bear to put together, but it does a great job. It's lightweight so it's easy to move where needed. The seat flips to use it as a stepladder, and, when it's down, it provides a handy seat or a place to put things, like a basket of laundry. Definitely a bargain.Customer Review: Just like Moms

My mom had this chair when I was growing up. Loved it then and am so glad to find it again. Not crazy for the color, but strong chair and step stool. Works great with our 5 kids who want to do things on there own. Everyone fights to sit in it even our 1 1/2 year old loves to up the seat up and sit on the steps. Only bad thing is the seat cover is very thin. I made a small tear in the cover putting it together some how. I had extra vinyl from another project I just did, and took the seat off (lifting metal tabs from below)put spray glue on and wrapped it right over the other cover and put it back on(and flatted tabs back down). Looks better with a black seat now.

My mom wanted this so she could sit down in the kitchen while working. She had one many years ago, so she knew just what she wanted. She put it together herself (and she's 85). She said it was a little bit of a challenge. Anyway, she loves it!Customer Review: Love this old chair design

This Cosco chair has been part of my kitchen for 50 years - first as a child, and my mom still has hers. Then in my home for at least 20 years. And now I need another one - not because the old one failed but because I have another kitchen. The chair gives a good step stool, is good for at the countertop for writing, paying bills, and the kids love to sit on it doing homework. Am glad to see Cosco still makes it and Amazon carries it for a reasonable price.
