Tools and Hardware Reviews of Cosco 11-18WHT Retro Chair/Step Stool, WhiteCustomer Review: too small Summary: 3 StarsI owned a Cosco stool previous to this one which I had for many, many years. So when I was ready to purchase a new one I returned to the Cosco brand expecting to receive the same quality product I had in the past. My main disappointment is that the chair it so small it would be hard for a normal sized adult to sit on and be comfortable. Also mine arrived with a small rip in the vinyl on the seat at one of the corners. I wish they had not sacrificed size and quality for price since the older products lasted 20 years or longer.
Customer Review: My search is over Summary: 5 StarsMy search is over. I have been looking for this chair for years. I remember having one when I was a child and loved it (except when it was the time-out chair). Great gift to self. Now my 8 year old insistes on using it instead of the barstools.
Customer Review: step stool review Summary: 4 StarsThe step stool, a gift for my daughter, works well as a step stool. The problem was in the difficulty to attach the seat and back to the stool. The frame did not meet and had to be bent to align the screws. There was a hole in the box and the screws fell out, so my daughter had to request the screws before she could put it together.
Customer Review: Great transitional high chair Summary: 4 StarsWe got this for our daughter at 17 mos. We have it at our counter so she can use this chair instead of climbing up on our bar stools. She still needs to be supervised but it is alot safer and more stable than anything else we could find.
Customer Review: Cosco step-stool chair in white Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this 'newer model' step stool chair for a slight retro addition to my kitchen. With the white powder coat finish it doesn't quite look as industrial as the more typical red and yellow model which makes a softer transition for my particular application. It's not terribly comfortable (obviously not a lounge chair) but it serves it's purpose quite well. At 5'11 I couldn't see into my uppermost kitchen cabinet shelves but now it's a breeze. The chair tucks nicely under my kitchen counter alongside the trash can. I have a small kitchen with a 4 seat table and two seat bar. It's a bit high for my table use and a tad short the bar but it adds an important spare seat as I often entertain in the kitchen/dining area more than the living room. It's lightweight and super simple to assemble. If you have open undercounter space, these are a super addition to any kitchen but there's another option. I have a 50's era Cosco stool that belonged to my great aunt that I tucked in a corner and use for a plant stand. This stool could easily be used the same way. Cosco has a great dual purpose product here that can easily be used in more than only two ways. I give it 5 stars on form, function, and price.
