It is exactly what I wanted and have searched for in stores all over and could not find it. I needed to be able to reach the top shelves of my cabinets and to be able to work at the sink sitting instead of standing for great lengths of time. The only problem is that it comes all apart, thank goodness I had some friends to put it together.

My wife needed another chirstmas gift from me and suggested a stool like the one her mom had for years in her kitchen. This was just the ticket. Well made, strong, and very usefull to get to cabinets, hang pictures, or just to sit on at times. Looks and feels just like the ones of old. Check out the dimensions before ordering. I should have reviewed the specs before ordering as I expected the chair to be a lot bigger. This chair is perfect for toddlers but seems unstable if an adult tries to sit on. Do not use as a stool either. I had a chair very similar to this one when I was a child so I expected the same quality as the one I had.. however, some of the parts are made of plastic and the steps pull straight out on plastic rails... my 3 year old grandaughter pulled it off the track right away.. The kids fight over the chair when they visit so they really love it... I guess that's all that matters...
