I own a 17 ft. version and used it in the extension ladder mode. As I was climbing it I heard a loud "pop" and the ladder collapsed on itself. Fortunately I wasn't seriously hurt. I own a condo with nine foot ceilings so I needed a ladder to safely reach that high to replace lightbulbs. My condo has very limited storage space so I needed a ladder that would fit in a closet. The Cosco fills both these needs well. It looks complicated to set up at first, but the instructions and included video make it real easy. The ladder is rather heavy, but that proves to be a benefit since it feels very safe and solid when climbing on it.Customer Review: Don't bother spending $400.00 for a Little Giant.

This ladder is great. It has a strong construction and it's easy to set up. When folded, it doesn't require a lot of space. Excellent price too. Why spend four big ones on a Little Giant when this ladder does all the same jobs but for three hundred bucks less.Customer Review: Got the Job Done

This ladder is fairly light-weight considering its size and is easy to adjust. The steps can be uncomfortable to stand on without shoes, or with thin-soled shoes, because they are so narrow. When next to a wall, I've cautiously stood on the very top step. It didn't slide, even on my hardwood floors. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.
