I needed this to reach the new shelving I installed in the utility room. I had other ladders but they were all steel, and very heavy and cumbersome to move, set up and take down. I saw the 2 step version of this same product in Walmart, picked it up and was amassed at the very light weight, and ease of setup and take down. I'm very impressed with the engineering, workmanship, and strength of this ladder. It is solid and I have no fear of falling even from the top step. This is a good product for your wife, she will like it. The price is not too bad for what you get. Just remember that a visit to the doctor or hospital will cost a whole lot more if you are using a chair to reach the top shelf. You won't be disappointed in this one...
