This filter was easy to install and use, I really like the idea of being able to see the contents of the filter cartridge, the unit seems to be well made, The only drawback is the next too useless filter that came with the unit.
I wound up buying a really good filter cartridge (New Wave Enviro 10 stage filter) now I am a happy camper, and
Wound up costing $70.00 less than comparable units.

I have searched and used different kind of filters. This one is the best for apartment houses. The water comes out faster and the quality is just like the merchant describes, clean. The hose connecting the unit to the sink had a head that was too big. I got an adapter which fit both components, but then once I hooked it up the whole thing started squirting water all over the kitchen. There was no solving this problem so I tried to return the thing. Their customer service didn't respond to me for weeks, but finally they did take it back and even paid for shipping. Ordered 2 of these. One box was missing the faucet adaptor. THERE WERE NO DIRECTIONS. After finally getting it hooked up we had just as many particles in our water as if we were taking it straight from the tap. We found no taste difference. Maybe we hooked it up wrong - doubtful as there's not not much to it - but THERE WERE NO DIRECTIONS. I've had better results from a Britta. Product comes with tool to open unit but it is still extremely difficult to open - good luck changing the cartridge. Had to contact the company for the address to send it back - it isn't listed on the packing list anywhere. They were very responsive and processed my return accordingly - thank goodness. I bought this based on all the positive reviews. This unit isn't worth the aggravation.Customer Review: Different Filter!! Beware.

This is the water filter that shows up for the one I bought last March. You will notice people referencing a discrepancy between the clear filter and the opaque white. I bought the opaque white from WaterFiltersOnline.com - the actual water filter is made by QMP and I believe the model was QMP602 (or 539). QMP appears to be a little company in CA. I am uncertain why the vendor and the mfr were changed - and yet remained related to this product.
The original filter - as one reviewer noted - was the Matrikx PB1 - looks pretty good - this is mfrd by KX Technologies.
Amazon should not have piggy backed the new product with a new vendor on top of an old one - this is inadvertant I am sure BUT does not help customer's know what they are getting.
