The company charges more for these Culligan D-250A filters
but ships the cheeper non Culligan brand filters.
So u may as well just buy the cheeper non Culligan brand filter.
In fact after this experience I am not sure I would trust anything on Amazon again.
especially since both filters are listed by the same company on Amazon ... so its a bait and switch.

Even though I feel that filters are overpriced (like printer ink) they will all need to be replaced some day. These were identical to the originals and were easy to install. Been using this filter for a few years and have no complaints. It filters out a ton of crap you don't want to be drinking but be sure to check for damage or breaks in the carbon because it is brittle and can break easily. If there is a serious break the water will go THERE instead of through the smaller areas and defeats the whole purpose of filtering. I bought two and saved one for 6 mo later and after I opened it, both filters were cracked, rendering them useless. Amazon let me return them but I waited too long and by then it was just too much hassle to return them so I wrote it off.
So, mostly good results.
