Tools and Hardware Reviews of Culligan WSH-C125 Wall-Mount 10,000 Gallon Capacity Filtered Showerhead, Chrome Finish

Customer Review: Decent build
Summary: 4 Stars

Took only 10 minutes to install, but water leaks and drips from the front tightener... Took another 30 minutes to fix that leak using teflon tape and other things. Still leaks every now and then..

Customer Review: Excellent product
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using the Culligan WHS-C125 Wall-Mount Filtered Showerhead for about two weeks now and everything that the manufacturer promised is true. It was extremely easy to install, my skin is softer and I don't need to use as much shampoo, or lotion on areas of my body that usually required it. I've also noticed that my shower is cleaner with virtually no hard water spots. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who wants to save money (less shampoo, soap, or shower gel needed to get clean and less lotion used, not to mention cleaning solutions), wants to reduce chemicals from their lives (chlorine), and wants to give their children cleaner water for baths. This product is a no brainer. If you're just thinking about getting a filtered showerhead, this is the one to get!

Customer Review: Excellent product

This product is very reliable and does everything that it promises. We have very hard water in San Diego and my hair had to bear the brunt of it. But once I started using this filter , my hair is getting back to normal , no more dry and frizzy hair. My hair loss issues have also stopped. This even increased the flow of water than my previous old shower head. Definitely recommend this item.

Customer Review: Excellent value for a quality showerhead

It is not hard for me to understand why there are quite a few negative reviews. Some people spend $27 and expect miracles. Obviously, this showerhead isn't going to do the job of a $1200 whole house water softener or R/O system. It is, however, a cost effective solution to hard water in the shower.

We have very hard water here in central Arizona. So far I am very impressed with the WSH-C125. I would even say it is moderately noticeable in how the water feels on our skin. Also, hard water requires the use of much more soap to lather. The showerhead had an immediate effect on the amount of lather created with bodywash and shampoo.

As others have said, even though it says it has 5 different settings, I've found only 3. My favorite is the regular spray setting. As with most economical showerheads, the massage setting doesn't really pulsate like you would like it to.

Note: When they say it requires no tools, that isn't exactly true. I used a crescent wrench to give the connection an extra turn and recommend that you do as well.

Customer Review: Extremely Satisfied!

I bought two of these, one for my shower and one for my boyfriends. They came with simple instructions, troubleshooting tips (such as what to do if you experience reduced water flow or if you need to increase the water pressure) and were very easy to install. We chose to remove the flow restrictor from both showerheads and the water pressure is 'perfect' for us. The massage settings feel greeeeat on the back but are pretty much useless for actually showering in (too narrow of a stream). The regular shower setting is just right.

Personally, I've noticed a dramatic change in my hair and skin after having switched to this showerhead. What I used to think was dry skin on account of harsh winter weather may have actually been dry skin on account of bathing in chlorinated water. My hair is noticiably softer and silkier and even my boyfriend has been appreciating how nice and soft 'his' hair feels since making the switch :). Some natural highlights which I thought I had lost in my younger years are also reappearing(pretty auburn and blond colors). This surprised me a bit since it would seem to make sense that my hair should darken in the absence of chlorine but hey, I'm not complaining! As for my skin, I still moisturize after I get out of the shower but I no longer feel embarassed about my dry shins (in the past, no amount of lotion could really help them) and I've noticed that my face looks brighter and I no longer develops those temporary but still embarassing red shower splotches.

I realize that the longevity of the filter will depend on the frequency of which we shower (excessively) as well as how long we shower. Since we each have our own bath, I'm hoping that we can realistically get 3 months from them. I've already bought us each a replacement filter but will stock up on a few more to make sure we never go without. When you consider the actual daily expense for filtering your shower water it really isn't all that bad. My next purchase will be one of those bath water filtering balls. I'm really looking forward to some relaxing 'non-chlorinated' baths! :)
