These traps are excellent for preventing exposure (and sight) of captured rodents. The only drawback is that the trip mechanism is inconsistent - I have had several traps where the mouse has "beaten" me by getting the bait without ever setting off the trap. The piece of plastic that holds the bar in place is too big, and even pressing on it with a stick won't release the trap. I've fixed these by myself by modifying the trap a little, but it seems a little more quality control would go a long way. Otherwise a much better way of catching mice than a typical trap or glue.Customer Review: Good news, bad news

Here's the good news: These traps work great. Unlike for example the Victor traps I bought once, off of which mice feasted on the bait without ever setting them off, these set easily, snap at just the right moment, usually kill (I don't think any trap kills every single time), and keep the dead mouse out of view until disposal, which is easy and doesn't require touching the mouse.
Here's the bad news: The trigger mechanism is plastic, and doesn't last long. Typically after half a dozen mice -- sometimes more, sometimes less -- a bit breaks off and the trap is useless; you can't set it any more. (Sometimes it's tricky to set one of these traps even if it hasn't broken, until you poke at the mechanism a bit to get it aligned right. But usually they set easily until they break, and then not at all.)
I'm about to buy some more of these traps, because I think they're the best around -- but if anyone ever comes up with a similar trap with an unbreakable trigger, I'll switch to that.

This is a great product, no other trap comes close to it's convenience and effectiveness. However, Amazon's price is outrageous. As of this writing, they're charging $5.65, which is almost double of what you can get it for on other sites. Unless they drop the price down to around $3.00 or less, I will be purchasing this elsewhere.Customer Review: Great Results!

I bought this product after I found some mice in our house and it works wonderfully. On the very first day, I set up 3 traps in the area where I found traces and caught 3! I used rice as bait which works great and is less messy than peanut butter.
There are some shortcomings about this products though:
1. The trap is covered which means it's hard to reach the bait cup. I have to use a measuring spoon to put the bait in there.
2. This product is made of plastic so sometimes it's not that reusable. I bought 5 of them and had trouble setting 1 (it wouldn't lock) and had trouble resetting 2 after first use.

This trap worked very well. People complain that the trap doesn't latch, but you have to get something small like a pencil and latch the hook inside the black container. It works fine. I set the trap down and within five minutes had caught a mouse.
