We had spent three weeks trying to get this little pesky mouse out of our apartment. We were just using the little wooden snap traps and sticky glue traps that were available at the nearby stores in Brooklyn. We literally set out a dozen traps and tried various types of bait, but the mouse just kept stealing the cheese or peanut butter, etc. and getting away. Until we ordered this trap. Last night, we set it out (in addition to the other traps already all over) and the little guy was dead within a few hours!!!

We have mice in the garage, and had rats in the attic. We have a very old cat who lives in the garage (she does get along with our alpha cat who lives indoors). We've tried multiple humans traps, all to no avail. After eating through books, and clothes in the garage they started to get into our 'secure' pantry. YIKES!! Something has to give! I have four of these on the way so I can be certain to say good-bye to these varmints!!

I live up in the hills and mice are always an issue here. I have tried so many different products before I found this one. I have tried the regular traps, the mouse bait, the circle traps, the glue board snap traps. None of these worked. I thought I was going to have to either get an exterminator or try the dreaded glue traps. Exterminators can be pricey and as I was researching the glue traps I heard they can be pretty messy and you can actually hear the mouse dying(gross!). So I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try before I had to resort to those other measures.

Okay, so I get this trap and follow the advice of someone's review I read on here. I put peanut butter in the cup and just a small dab right at the opening (it's easier if you use a Q-tip to apply the peanut butter). Within an hour I caught my first mouse! Yeah, it was disgusting because the butt and tail were sticking out of the trap, but I got one! I decided to empty the trap and try again. One hour later, another one! You may think you only have 1 mouse in your house like I did, but OMG there is a whole army of them! I have had this product for a week and have caught 5 mice so far! Ewww.

Just some advice: 1. Use peanut butter (it works!). 2. If you are going to reuse the trap, do not try to open the door as the instructions say- for one, your hands get too close to the dead mouse, and for two, it's really hard to open esp when u are totally grossed out like I was. Instead, pull back the lever like you are going to set the trap and give it a few shakes and the mouse falls out. 3. Move the trap around your house and set it against something (like a wall or couch). 4. I found out the mouse stays alive for like 10 seconds and u can hear it struggling to get free (ick!). So if that bothers you set the trap someplace that is still effective, but where u can't hear it!

These traps are amazing. They have never failed to catch a mouse, and they usually do within an hour. Just put a drop of peanut butter as per instructions. They are easy to use and also can be reused after you dump out the mouse. It is more effective, cheaper, easier and safer than calling an exterminator. I love these traps and they are a real bargain. Don't buy any other trap, this one is great. I have no relation to D-Con but am always amazed that these traps never fail to get the mouse quickly.
