Tools and Hardware Reviews of D-Con 00027 Ultra Set Covered Snap Mouse TrapCustomer Review: Best Trap I've Ever Purchased Summary: 5 Stars
It just works, and works well. Kills instantly, keeps the critters hidden, don't worry about the dogs setting off the traps, easy to reuse.
Customer Review: Best Trap Out There. Discreet Summary: 5 Stars
The round ones don't work, mice aren't interested in making detours, so I like the fact these fit next to a wall where the mice run. Secondly, they are not so gross, because it hides the mouse to some degree until you get home to dump it. Thirdly, it is reusable. The kill, in our experience, has not been messy.
I recommend checking it often, and dumping and resetting right away. This keeps any other mice from seeing a dead mouse in the trap. Once they do, they may not venture to check out the peanut butter. If you check often, and dump, you can keep catching. Great alternative to the traditional nasty looking traps. Also, your kids or animals can't endanger themselves as easily as in the case of the open traditional traps. The cover is somewhat helpful in avoiding the attraction.
More discreet.
Customer Review: Best We've Tried Yet Summary: 5 Stars
We live on a large lot that borders a freeway. Some years we have trouble with mice in the fall and no longer have any cats. We used glue traps for years. Although they work fairly well, you still have to actually kill the mouse once it's trapped.
We won't use poisons for several reasons and don't want to use the old fashioned, open snap traps because they present a danger to our small dog and us.
I ordered two of these traps, which arrived quickly. One of them was defective, but the other has proven to be very efficient. I wish we didn't need it at all, but it works very well and is reusable.
You can dispose of the already dead mouse without ever having to touch it and easily reset the trap.
Customer Review: Best mousetrap for the squeamish Summary: 5 Stars
Best trap that I've found for my basement. Mice love it - or at least they love the peanut butter that I bait the trap with! Easy disposal; I love not looking at the dead mouse. Made to be reusable. Only flaw: sometimes the lever is tough to set; shaking the whole trap sometimes helps - have always been able to finally get the lever set.
Customer Review: Best trap - PERIOD Summary: 5 Stars
I am *extremely* squeamish - and would prefer to use a humane trap (no kill) - but really - what am I going to do with a live mouse anyway? I have never really had to deal with this until becoming a homeowner, and having my backyard re-landscaped. I don't know if that drove mice into the house or what - but I had a bunch of mice to deal with, and two small children to think about. I tried a bunch of different traps.. I was traumatized by the glue (I had a baby mouse alive and squeaking, stuck on the glue sheet! Didn't know what to do! Had to leave the house with my kids, and call my husband to deal with it -- not pretty). I tried poison (mouse died under my dishwasher, not at all convenient to remove). This trap -- at least it's a QUICK KILL - with no squeaking mouse stuck in a trap. Also, I LOVE that it is covered - I can't handle the gore. I just see a little tail sticking out - and I don't look inside - I simply eject it straight into my outside garbage - done. Plus, this trap really works.
