I purchased this tool initially for a tile job in which we tiled from the floor to about 5 ft. up the walls - all of the way around the room. The tile pattern was designed such that there were 5
different patterns as we tiled up the wall. So, it was essential that all of the pattern changes be
level and plumb around the room - and that the top bullnose tiles all appear to be at the same level (the floor was not level). I don't believe I could have done this job well with a bubble or digital level. An especially valuable feature is that it will give you horizontal (level) and vertical (plumb) lines at the same time. My only issue is that the laser line is about 1/8" to 3/16" thick. I needed a bit more accuracy so I just made a pencil mark in the middle of the laser line. A magnetic clip comes with the tool and is a great help in making small vertical adjustments. It also comes in a good-quality case - a rarity now that stores are selling tools by the bag.
