Acceptable is my best description. One of the napkins was soiled with I am not yet sure what but hopefully it will come out when washed. My biggest disappointment was that two of the napkins were not square and yet they had been hemmed as if they were. I know that you get what you pay for and I am not that picky, but I will be hesitant to buy that brand of napkins again. I should also add though that the DII placematsthat I ordered were lovely in every way. I believe my problem with the napkins was an "inspection" problem and I am sure the company would want to know what I experienced.
