I have a couple of fluorescent light fixtures in my garage. Only one of them is wired to a light switch, which is across the garage from the door. Two of these wireless receivers are now controlling the two fixtures and I've mounted the remote to the wall with some Velcro. Now I have a light switch next to the door and didn't have to wire anything up!
Pros: Easy to install and use, 3 prong grounded outlet allows almost any device to be used, comes with a transmitter battery, range seems to be good and doesn't require line of sight
Cons: Transmitter battery is an odd size (A23), one of the receivers rattles - but it works...I just wonder for how long, transmitter is an odd shape - would be nice if it had a regular switch, sometimes need to hold the button down or press it twice in order to turn the receiver on or off, the receivers are quite large

I ordered the same product (shown) that I had bought previously but was sent a different product. I was sent a remote with an antenna and on/off buttoms for each wall outlet. It's not as simple as the one shown, and I do not like it as much, but it completes the task needed and I did not want to incur the cost of returning and getting what I actually ordered. Nothing wrong with the product though, just not as simplistic as I wanted. The product that's in the photo actually works wonderfully, so much so that I wanted more--just didn't get them.Customer Review: Wireless Outlet

We are very happy with this product. It works like a charm. A couple of cautions: it is a bit bulky so you need a bit of space to install it. Also, the outlets need to have an unobstructive line of vision for the remote to work. I got this product as a joke for my husband's Christmas stocking, and it turned out to be his favorite gift! I had seen a similar product advertised as a great solution for a Christmas tree; it allows you to turn the tree lights on without battling to get to the outlet. Well... you can use one remote with 3 different outlets, so we now have 3 separate light fixtures on this little remote. Each one is in a different part of the den and two in particular are difficult to reach. Now we turn on/off whichever light, or two or all three, effortlessly. We want more!! My husband now wants one for his office!
