Stopped working after 6 months of use.
How can these things break so quickly? After reading the reviews, I'm not the only one who has had this problem.
It's about time for companies to start making products that last or we need the government to step in and require all electronic items of this nature to have a 25 year life span with unlimited free replacements or refund during that time when they fail. Then, maybe companies won't manufacture junk in China that just ends up in landfills here in the States.

Bought these remote outlets for a weekend cabin so I could switch key outlets on and off quickly and easily on arrival and departure. Nice idea but when power is cut to these units (during a power outage for example) they do not switch back on of their own accord (even if they were on at the time that the power went off). This feature made them useless for the purpose I intended (refrigerator, security lights etc) so I have used them only for interior lamps. Otherwise the units work as intended.Customer Review: Very Convenient

This product was so easy to set up and use. It works exactly the way I need it to, and there hasn't been any part of it that has made me regret buying it. I've had it for over a year now, and I haven't even had to change the battery in the remote yet, and I use this thing every day over and over again. Now if you are trying to get something professional, than this probably isn't the way to go. I use it in my bedroom. Only for the reason that the remote is made of cheap plastic, but the plastic is sturdy, and while your using it, you don't notice anything about it feeling cheap. Overall, this is a great product, I would buy it 100 times, and it just makes life easier.Customer Review: Very convenient but only till it last

I bought this remote for two reasons, price and buttons on the base. I did read all the reviews that complain about it not working after sometime and it not responding to remote input but I still bought it thinking I will be lucky and will get a good product. Well I was wrong. It worked well for about 2 months but after that one of the input stopped responding to remote. Other two respond randomly, I have to press the button 2-3 times before it operates. I dont know what kind of warranty it has but I am going to try and get a replacement or repair. Dont get me wrong, it is very convenient but the quality is very poor. Only good thing is that the switch on the base still operates so I can manually turn it on/off without having to unplug.
I am not sure if there are any better alternatives but beware of the quality of this product. I think you get what you pay for, for $29 I think it good disposable product just dont expect it to last long.

Very good product. I tested one with a multimeter. They draw NO POWER of their own when plugged in. They are quiet when they activate due to there being no relay used to make the connection.
Too bad I'm limited to only three controllers, or I would have given 5 stars.
Update: I checked again on a lower amp setting and they draw about 10 milliamps.
