Tools and Hardware Reviews of Danco 88821 2-3/4-Inch Tub Mesh Strainer, Stainless

Customer Review: Better than expected
Summary: 5 Stars

I read other reviews that said it would clog up every day, but it didn't. It captures almost all hair though, which is what I needed. I have a shallow drain, so I actually flipped it over and it still stays in placed and successfully catches hair.

Customer Review: Catches TOO Much
Summary: 1 Stars

This does what it claims to do and keeps hair from going down the drain. BUT it also traps everything else too. After a week, it was slimy and disgusting with soap scum. I had to throw it out.

Customer Review: Danco 3/4 inch Tub Mesh Strainer
Summary: 5 Stars

Product was recommended by a friend to prevent bathtub clogs. I purchased it and was amazed at all this little strainer was able to prevent from going down the drain. Have tried many items and none has done the job of this little guy. I am very pleased!!

Customer Review: Does the job, clean every few days.
Summary: 4 Stars

This strainer fits perfectly in our tub drain. It catches everything (and that is it's job). It does require cleaning every few days. If you wait too long to clean it the water will not be able to run through it. I've found that using a toothbrush to clean it helps. I've had mine for a few months now and it is rusting a little bit on the bottom.

Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to
Summary: 5 Stars

It does what it's supposed to do. It's a simple wire mesh with small holes so it catches even small hairs. I don't find it hard to clean at all, just rub your finger over the mesh and it picks up whatever it caught. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that it does not screw in, it just sits in the drain, but this is a minor point (and some people may like this because it makes it a bit easier to clean since you can pick it up)
