Tools and Hardware Reviews of De-Mite Laundry Additive - 1 liter bottleCustomer Review: Expensive but Effective Summary: 5 Stars
Great product but costly! The shipping and handling adds salt to the wound! I have terrible allergies to mites and this product is what my doctor suggested. I just don't get why this product is so expensive.
Customer Review: GREAT PRODUCT for mild to severe allergy suffering Summary: 5 Stars
I have used this product for over 5 yrs now. My daughter's pediatric allergist recommended it. There was a noticable difference, for not only her but, my husband & myself as well. We use it on all our bedding, pillows, rugs & throw blankets. I even wash all my daughters stuffed animals in it. We go to amazon because they consistenly offer the most cost effective pricing. The product goes along way, get same results in hot or cold water. I recommend buying the large bottle to get most for your $.
Customer Review: It works! Summary: 5 Stars
Wow! This stuff really works, no joke. No more sneezing, sniffling, wheezing, itchy eyes, etc. I'm not surprised that it kills dust mites, but it seems to have eliminated the allergens and associated nastiness too. It used to take 2 or 3 runs through the washing machine to get it all out.
Now, about the smell. It's really not bad. It's kind of medicine-y (think Listerine). The instructions say 3/4 of a cap full, but they're kind of non-specific regarding types of washing machines. I have a high-efficiency front-loader, that uses like 3 gallons of water. For a top-loader 3/4 might be ok, but I think that may be too much for my machine. Next time I'll try less.
I'm very happy with the stuff.
Customer Review: No more waking up with sinus issues :) Summary: 5 Stars
Workes great on our sheets and towels. I don't mind the smell, it just reminds me that I used it and there are no (or less than normal) dust mites on my clean sheets!
Customer Review: Pricey, But It Seems To Work Summary: 5 Stars
My allergist wanted me to use this product along with other laundering instructions, such as hot water. Our sheets are a bit to pricey to use hot water, so we are pretty much only using the De-Mite and a mattress liner as preventives to dust mites.
It takes only a relatively small amount of De-Mite to work, so a bottle will last 8-12 months, but it is a bit expensive. However, it does seem to do the job and seems to help keep me out of the allergist's office.
