Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dead On Tools DO-300 Killer Chiller Mobile Cooler/Lunch box, BlackCustomer Review: Great lunch box for work. Summary: 5 Stars
I've been looking for a good lunch box for awhile and bought this one. I am so glad I did. Has a huge lower compartment for plastic food dishes. Upper compartment great for bringing other stuff as well. Comes with a nice over the shoulder detachable strap as well.
Customer Review: Ice thing does not seem to stay cold Summary: 3 Stars
I like the container, it's a good size, sturdy, but the ice thing does not stay cold. Perhaps I have a defective one as I did not see this mentioned in the other reviews, but I have also had no problems with fitting the ice into the container, or the lid. I guess they don't have very good quality standards.
Nice product - but get yourself another cold method as a back up.
Customer Review: Killer Lunch Bag Summary: 5 Stars
This is the second one I've ordered for my husband. Since he carries it every day, the first one is gone, although it did last almost a year. He puts all kinds of things in the top compartment like tools, snacks, etc. He puts his lunch in the bottom compartment. Both are large enough to accommodate all that. One of his co-workers even asked me to order one for him because he liked it.
Customer Review: Large Chiller Tote Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this as a surprise gift for my daughter and she loves it. Very roomy. She was so surprised at how much it would hold.
Customer Review: Looks like a bag a Pirate would carry. Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this because of the Pirate motif. When it arrived, I noticed that it is quite saggy. The bottom section will collapse on it's own just sitting there with nothing in it.
When it is sagging like that it is hard to move the bottom zipper because the zipper is folded too much. Another review stated that the zipper is too big. I think this is true. A smaller zipper would not bind as much.
When it is full, it doesn't sag as much because the contents are holding it up. Once you start taking stuff out, it will begin to sag again.
As far as performance, it will keep the contents cold for quite a while. I never put perishable food in the top section. I use the top for stuff like plastic utensils , OTC medicine, gum, trail mix, etc.
I use a 3 x 5 x 1.5 size blue ice block. When I get home it is still partially frozen after 12 hours or so. I do not leave the bag in my car. The place I work is inside and no more than 80 F.
This bag is more than big enough for 2 breaks and a lunch worth of food plus a little more. For many people anyway. I try to limit the calories myself.
I gave it 4 stars because it does keep food cold, and it looks like something a Pirate would carry. It looses one star for sagging.
