Customer Review: Decent light; be careful with installation

The light output is decent and the installation steps are pretty straightforward. However, there are two issues to take note of.
1) The screws included are not very good. They strip pretty easily. At one point, while trying to attach the light to the wall, the heads stripped badly with the screw only 1/2 way in. I have to use a hacksaw and cut the screw from behind and used my own set of screws.
2) The battery access door is on the back of the light unit. When attached to the wall, you can't get access to the door without unscrewing the entire unit. Normally, you'd need to replace the battery once a year, so unscrewing it from the wall would be a pain. I'm going to look into finding an alternative way to mount the light, which keeps the battery door more accessible.
Aside from these two points, everything else is good and I'm relatively happy with this light.

I love this light, it is amazing. I purchased one about 3 years ago and have had it since. It will hold its charge for hours. I now use it in our 12x10 storage unit and it will light up the entire unit. This is perfect if you live in an area with power outage issues during hurricane season. I have been looking for the same one since and this is the first time I have seen this light since I purchased mine.
I am going to buy more so I can continue to save energy and keep my electric bill lower. So glad I found this online.

I wanted something for my garage out in the back yard, thought this would be great since there is no power out there. The light works fine, for now, but it is bovious that it is not constructed well at all. It is no very bright, but enough so you don't trip over stuff. It was very easy to install, and yes, they should have given instructions as to what to do with the metal rod. Took me a minute to figure out that it is an optional brace for the solar panel. If it cost any more, I would pay for the shipping to return it. I would NOT buy another one from this company, but DO PROMOTE the use of solar power in any way possible.Customer Review: Excellent performance so far

Bought it from a local store in last week. I am amazed so far. Light is bright. Also, the 2 power consumption setting makes it even better. Usually I put it on half power (5 LED). It says in 5 LED mode, it will run for 4 hour. But I found the LEDs are still producing enough light even after 6 hours! I reckon it's because of summer, when you have enough day light to charge.
Another good thing is the charge indicator shows active even it is a dark cloudy day! I believe it means it is charging in any day light condition. Cool! Before to buy this light, I have emailed the manufacturer asking whether this light will charge in any day light condition, but they haven't got back to me. I assume they might not know the answer! May be they are not the manufacturer of the solar panel. Well, that's not the main issue here. I am satisfied up to now. But, it will be interesting to see how well it performs during winter season.
