Customer Review: A General Use Glove

This is definitely a general use glove. If you're using them for residential work, or around non-abrasive objects, these gloves will probably work fine.
I work at a home improvement store, and I opted to purchase these as I have to handle sheet-rock, hardibacker, concrete bags and blocks, and a variety of other materials. If you are looking for a pair of gloves that can handle constant abrasion for hours at a time, these gloves will fail in the most critical place: the fingers.
I used these gloves for only 4 days before the middle-finger fingertip on my primary hand had a hole worn into it. This is absolutely unacceptable in my mind, as a cheaper pair of 7 dollar nitrile coated gloves have lasted longer. Even when the nitrile wore off (in days), the cloth gloves still have yet to obtain a single hole. Furthermore, the inside of the gloves will be rubbed out, creating little balls of material that prove a minor nuisance. Even worse, the off-hand middle finger seam has started to wear out. The usefulness is further hampered by the minor air circulation afforded.
Overall, it manages at least one more star as the rest of the gloves have yet to show signs of significant wear. If these gloves actually had reinforcement material where it -really- counts, the -fingertips-, these could be worth double easily.
In summary, decent gloves. Avoid if you handle anything remotely abrasive for more than a day.
