Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dewalt DPG82-11C Concealer Clear Anti-Fog Dual Mold Safety Goggle

Customer Review: Good protection
Summary: 4 Stars

I like these goggles for the protection they provide. They are reasonably comfortable too and I've found I can wear them for a long time without discomfort. Likewise, I can wear them with hearing protection muffs. The rubber molding fits to the face fairly well keeping out most particles -- even small ones from sanding or grinding, which I appreciate, but it's not an airtight fit. I find the goggle performs pretty well when I am not using a face mask. For me, they don't fog up if I am using them alone (hammering nails, for example). However, when I'm sanding or grinding or routering and I need to protect my lungs, I wear a simple mask and of course they fog up. I don't consider this a malfuction of the google -- I'm basically creating a conduit for my breath to reach inside. I may try a vented mask in the future. It is worth noting that, while I live in the East, I don't live in the very humid areas and that is likely a helpful factor. I've been satisfied with this purchase but I give it 4 stars because I'd like to see the rubber molding be a little more fitting, perhaps, and the lens to be a little more resistant to scratches, if possible.

Customer Review: Good... not great. Better than others though
Summary: 4 Stars

As others have stated, these goggles are NOT fully fog-resistant. This is especially true in humid areas on hot days (like here in South Georgia). Nonetheless, the goggles fit over my glasses well, though I generally take my glasses off when using these. The goggles are adjustable and relatively comfortable to wear... even with a dust respirator on as well.

I am happy with my purchase of these goggles, and they are certainly better than any others I have purchased, but I reduce one star on the review due to the fogging issue that is NOT what the manufacturer claims. I might try a product like Rain-X anti-fog on them when it gets warm again to see if that will totally eliminate the potential for fogging.

Customer Review: Great Goggles!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had mine for a year now and they still perform nicely. I like the big field of vision and they fit over my prescription glasses that I must wear, these are perfect for me.
Appears to be good quality materials and good quality construction they are sturdy but not heavy so they are not a burden to wear.
I love them and I will purchase a second pair for a back up in case they ever become unavailable.

Customer Review: Great Product @ a great price
Summary: 5 Stars

As someone who wears glasses it is difficult to find something to protect my eyes and be comfortable. Other safety glasses slip around and every big box store only seems to stock the same safety overglasses that I wore in shop class 20 years ago. The Dewalt goggles stay right where they are supposed to. They fit over my medium sized glasses, they fit well with my varous respirators, and they are pretty good at not fogging up. In all but the most humid days they work fine. On the 90 degree 90 percent humidity days I take two extra steps. I use cat crap anti fog on the lenses and I wear a head wrap as it appears that the sweat from my eyebrows seems to be the cause of the moisture otherwise. Are they perfect? No. Are they better than most other products that I have tried out there? Yes. I do wish they would have a little draw string bag to throw them in so they would stay more protected though.

Customer Review: Great Product!
Summary: 4 Stars

These are great and economical goggles. They are comfortable, easy to adjust, and fit well, while providing full coverage around the eyes.

The downside is, in spite of the name, they do fog if you're wearing them over a normal nose mask, which ventilates your exhaled breath up and under the goggle's molding. The problem is exacerbated if you're working in cold weather. The goggles fit the face well, but the rubber molding does not provide a completely airtight seal.
