For some reason the fan stopped working for a few days and I was about to throw it out. Then the fan started working again. No problems since or otherwise. I use it to heat a large bedroom connected to an office and heats both rooms with no problem. Very quiet. I wish there was a way to use the heater without the simulated fire (which is surprisingly realistic and comforting), but, hey, it is what it is.Customer Review: Good product.....too pricey!

I have been using these "space heaters" for many years now. Dimplex products were my first choice and have always performed admirably. One of my oldest units ceased to function so I bought a new one over the internet. A week later, I discovered a similar product at my local SAM'S club store for about half price of what I purchased. It remains to be seen how well the new stove works and for how long.
We cannot do without them as they warm a room up so fast. They look so realistic with their flame and the heat is wonderful. Most of the time, we simply turn on the "flame" so that it flickers on the ceiling when we go to bed. I would not be without one under any circumstance.

I was hesitant to buy this as I always wanted a real, wood stove for my master bedroom. I bought this since it was not too small and not too big for my room. I wanted the "flame view" on those rainy nights and also something to heat up my bedroom. I first plugged it in and I love the fact you can turn on only the "flame" without the heat, great for snuggly nights. Also the 2 seperate heat levels. I set it on high and about 15 min later I could feel the heat coming out from the bottom. I was worried at first about the heat close to the floor and carpet, but I felt the carpet after 1 hr. and it was not as hot as I thought it would be. Great all around heater, very pleased, very sturdy, top does not get hot (I placed photo frames on it" I wish I would have purchased the larger one now! Bought this electric stove to warm our newly-build screen porch over the fall and winter months. The stove is a bit on the short side; but after reading some other reviews about raising it, I decided to build a makeshift hearth from the left over floor tiles. Still have work to do on the hearth, but the stove's overall effect was so greatly improved that we decided not to purchase a larger one. Even without the plexiglass windows installed, this little heater warmed the room a bit. I especially love the nightlight feature and that it lends a comfortable, home-like touch to the porch.
