Customer Review: Good inexpensive emergency lighting

After a recent evening power outage that I spent sitting in the dark, I decided to equip my home with some emergency lighting. I ordered three of these little lamps to have on hand, and I'm glad I did. The power went out again last week, and I had plenty of light to read by without worrying about using dangerous candles or propane lanterns that give off carbon monoxide.
Although they are primarily plastic construction, they are reasonably sturdy and quite inexpensive -- making them a good value. They each took 4 D batteries, but after several hours of use the lights were still as bright as when I first turned them on, so they seem to be fairly economical to operate. No more sitting in the dark when the power goes out!

This lamp is fantastic. We go to a lot of outdoor concerts in park settings and it's amazing the light this lamp gives. It is the perfect addition to add some light while enjoying the music. I bought this little portable lamp for our aunt in an assisted living home after they lost power during renovations. All the residents were herded into the halls where emergency lighting was available. Now she has this cute little lamp in her room and can stay where it is comfortable, should a power interruption occur again. The light is sufficient, and light weight so she could also carry it to the bathroom if need be.Customer Review: Perfect

Prior to purchasing this lamp i read the reviews because i almost bought a coleman lamp. This lamp meet all of my expectations! It is the perfect size, and is bright enough as well. Will be ordering a couple more to have on hand for storms.
