This thing is great for the old tube TV that will be phased out soon and I already have the HDTV but this is great for a spare room if you have this type of TV and works well to hold things on top of the TV.

The shelf itself is ok looking. What I did not take into consideration was that the back feet that support and level the shelf on the back of my TV were about 4 inches to short to work on my TV. The feet only extend about three & ahalf inches screwed totally out. If I were concidering purchasing the shelf I would concider that before buying the item.

We bought a combo TV (TV/VCR/DVD) for the bedroom and needed a place to put our Tivo unit. The TV has a large footprint, but not much flat space on top. I looked and looked for a simple shelf to put on top to hold the Tivo unit, but amazingly couldn't find much. This shelf does the job perfectly. There's also a second shelf to put dvd's, videos, etc. One nice feature is the double sided adhesive they put on all four legs, so the shelf doesn't slide around and fall off the TV.

I found that product to be especially well made and constructed, and fits my needs for my DRV and DVD player. It's a good product because it also keeps not only your units for your television, but your wiring as well. For the price I would recommend it to anyone. Also it's very easy to assemble.
