SO much easier to manuever than the traditional Dremel! Nice size for detail work. Fits comfortably in the hand. Accepts other Dremel bits well. This is a great addition to any tool set. It fits comfortably in your hands and can be used for very fine detail work or work where precision is a must. My first task when I got it was to grind and cut out some epoxy putty on a wall right next to some trim (don't ask). I was concerned that my older corded dremel would make this task nearly impossible with its shape and the cord tugging at the tool at just the wrong moments. With this tool I felt completely in control the entire time I used it. It had more than enough power to both grind (using a drum sander and a grinder) and cut using one of the new EZ Lock wheels (wide diameter, finally). I was able to get complete control over the tool and never had to fight it to get exactly the result I wanted.
This is a great evolution to the Dremel design and I would highly recommend it for light to medium use. Heavy cutting I would still leave to the corded units due to their higher RPM and torque.
Also, buy the Dremel Chuck. It will save you tons of time unscrewing and switching collets.
Overall the stylus is a great tool where fine control and precision are required. And it looks like a phaser from classic Star Trek. How can you go wrong?

I have used this tool for a varity of shop projects in wood and metal, and find it to be of fine quality and excellent performance. The tool is well balanced and easy to handle. The battery life is extremely good. The lithium-ion battery, unlike ni-cads, has the advantage of being able to sit idle for months without loosing it's charge. This is a real plus. It seems that Dremel is now a division of Robert Bosch tool corp.
I highly recommend this product.

I finally replaced my old Original Dremel (cord and all) with the new Cordless Stylus Dremel. All I can say is, what took them so long to release this product! At first glance, you wonder how this new Dremel will fit in your hand. But as soon as you pick it up, it just feels right. It really gives a better control of the tool than the original "pen style". So far I have used it to sharpen my lawn mower blade, remove grout, and polish my silver cufflinks. Talk about versatility! My wife loved it so much for her crafts that I had to buy another one for her. I highly recommend this to everyone that loves to take on projects.Customer Review: Dremel Stylus Rotary Tool

I had shopped locally for this product and found the resale price was $70.00.
Although I felt that was a fairly acceptable price I thought I could get a better deal through the internet. I searched Google for the product and found several entries. I found the same unit for $20.00 less. The unit arrived before the scheduled time and found the product was properly shipped and charged the Stylus immedialtely after. I have used the Rotary Tool several times including trimming my dogs nails with it. It fits in your hand very comfortably and is very convenient to use. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a handy and comfortable Dremel rotary tool. I was very satisfied with the product and where I bought it from.
