I have been so pleased with this little stylus that I'm about ready to give away my corded Dremel tool. I have very little use for it any more. The lithium battery holds an extremely long charge and the tool is strong enough to accomplish nearly any task in one charge.
The only thing I can say needs a bit more work is the cradle/docking station. First, it's a bit light and slides around wherever it's placed. Also, the unit doesn't dock with the charging plug as convincingly as I would like. Although there is a light on the back of the dock that tells you when it's in place, I'm never sure whether it's completely locked into the dock, and you can never be sure that it will stay that way once you leave the room. (Indeed, when I went to check on the light just now, I discovered that it had worked its way out of position somehow and was not charging until I twisted it slightly. Point made.)
It's still a great product. I like it well enough that I gave a similar unit to my brother and his wife last Christmas and last I heard, they were equally thrilled with it.

I recently purchased the Dremel Stylus rotary tool and I am extremely pleased with it's performance so far. It's versatility and power from a cordless rotary tool is amazing. The overall design of the Stylus and it's base charger/holder make it simple to use and easy to store. The easy access power button and speed control dial are designed for single hand use and the comfort grip fits easily in any size hand. Even changing accessories is made easier. I think this product is well worth the price and would be a great addition for any hobbiest, workshop, or home.Customer Review: Ease of use.

I am a professional calligrapher and engraver. I use several different tools and began with the Dremel Engraver. I'm still adapting to this new Stylus and in some cases find the pistol grip somewhat daunting esp when engraving calligraphy with downstrokes or "toward" my hand. The grip limits these motions somewhat. But the tool can easily be turned upside down as the instructions say and this problem becomes negligible. I see the tool runs abt 1-2 hrs on one charge out of the recharger stand. So it is prudent to keep it in the base charger while not in use. Last, the lightness (weight) and cordless features are wonderful! I feel like I'm not "teathered" to anything anymore...LOL.Customer Review: Excelent model makers, fine work tool

I got this at a deep discount as a part of a set with the 1120 screwdriver. The price was great.
The tool works very well for fine work. Jewelry, PC boards, small delicate wood work, polishing and cleanup. It is not a replacement for the larger heaver Dremel tools as general purpose device.
The good and bad news is that it comes with a lot of tools many of which are not terribly useful--I don't know many folks who do jewelry or metal work and wood work both, so over 1/2 the tools are wasted. Also tools storage for the supplied tools is grossly inadequate to the point of being a pain.
