Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dremel 8000-03 10.8-Volt Lithium Ion Cordless Rotary Tool

Customer Review: Batteries are a problem
Summary: 2 Stars

The tool works OK but I've had two batteries go bad in the six months I've had the tool. They are expensive! Rather than continuing to shell out for batteries, I may just stick with my corded one.

Customer Review: Battery stinks!
Summary: 2 Stars

This dremel is nice, but the batteries they come with are awful, I have already gone through 4 batteries, in 1 year.
They never hold a full charge after 1 month!!!!!!!

Customer Review: Battery-powered Dremel
Summary: 5 Stars

Works just the way I'd hoped for. I have not put in much time using it yet, but so far it has done everything I asked of it. I plan on using it for woodcarving projects, so I bought several high-speed cutters to use for that purpose.

Customer Review: Best Dreme ever owned! A+++++!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am an R/C racer and hobbyist, and have owned corded Dremel tools as well as this cordless unit and this thing has just as much power as the corded models in my opinion. Hold its charge very well, has a stall protection feature to protect the motor and electronics. I use a flex shaft with mine and has plenty of grunt to run the flex shaft for any application, and barely gets warm! I can use this Dremel continuously for almost 45 minutes at high speed before it needs a recharge. Just like any cordless tool, I recommend getting a second battery to lower your downtime between charges (Part #855-02) Hope this helps. Happy Dremeling!

Customer Review: Best Dremel yet!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned a number of 120 Volt Dremel tools in the past. They sure are handy, but they haven't been the most reliable. This cordless, rechargeable Dremel is, by far, the best I've ever owned. It is built better - more solid. It has a very nice feel and grip. It's lightweight and easy to handle. It doesn't heat up like the 120 Volt Dremel's do. A charge lasts a long time; even when faced with large tasks. And, last, but not least, it operates and runs very smoothly and nicely. It simply is the best Dremel I've ever had.
