I own three of these fans.There great,compact,last long.1 has been running for 6 months straight.I clean mine (because grill and fan blades are hard to get to)by using a garden hose under pressure after which I spray the motor with wd-40 to disperse the water and lube the fan shaft.Easy maintainance..

I found this fan during a building demolition five years ago. Cleaned it up, put it on my desk and it has been running since, it is only turned off to clean it. Had trouble with the slippery knob so I drilled a hole through the nose of the cone and put a two-inch long piece of plastic tube (similar to a cheap ink pen cartridge) through that. Now I can adjust the speed with my back-scratcher:) I also discovered that it operates better with NO lubrication, I took it completely apart, wiped the shaft and bushings dry and it ran better than ever.Customer Review: Excellent Fan with Easy-To-Use Front-Mounted Controls

I own three of these, and I may buy another one just in case they ever stop making it. I especially like the convenience of the front-mounted control switch. I wish more fan manufacturers used front-mounted controls because it's so much easier to use. I can't stand loud fans, and I find this one to be relatively quiet. I keep one on my desk at work, and the guy in the next cubicle says he can't even hear it. It would be better if you could change the angle of the airflow, however. And I would also prefer some neutral colors that blend into the background better such as tan or white. That said, it's still a great little fan for the price.
