Customer Review: Disappointing

1. This is most definitely not 2.5 gallons. Yes, the box says "2.5 gallons per day", but this is just the stupid ramblings of the marketing department. It has a capacity of less than 1 gallon, as you can see in the customer images.
2. Anyone who says this humidifier is "loud" is out of their mind. My last humidifier was loud. It had a big noisy fan that blew air through a filter. This one just bubbles gently in the corner. I've measured it with an SPL meter at 34 dB from about 1 meter. For comparison, "silence" in my room is 31 dB. My old humidifier that I hate is 61 dB, at the same distance.
3. I've had it on for 5 hours and, although it's been pumping out visible steam, the humidity hasn't risen from the 29% RH it was when I started. I've only had this for 3 days, and I thought it was working fine the other days, but maybe the humidity was affected more by the outside weather than by the humidifier. If it can't humidify any more than this, I'll be sending it back.
Update: I woke up this morning with my eyes, nose and mouth completely dried out. The humidity was 28%, and the humidifier's tank was empty, even though I had filled it right before bed. The tank is too small to last through the night.
Even when it's working, it does very little. I used a pot of boiling water to get the humidity up to 47%, and then left this little humidifier to take over, and it's dropped to 34% within an hour. My bedroom's only 45 square feet. You would think it would be able to humidify just my room, but it doesn't seem to be able to.

Purchased this for the bedroom to run at night. The low setting is too low and does not produce enough moisture. The high setting produces enough moisture and is not too loud but because of the small size the water does not last the whole night. I turn it on about an hour before heading to bed and by 3am the water is gone and the dry air is back.Customer Review: Does the job but..

COCS:It cam with filters but no instructions on were they go they are for this unit. Also wish it held more water.
