Tools and Hardware Reviews of Duracraft DWM250 2-1/2-Gallon Warm-Mist HumidifierCustomer Review: Followed Instructions, Called Customer Service, Still This Never Worked! Summary: 1 Stars
Shipping time, ordering fine. I performed the recommended, pre-use cleaning, followed the instructions on use and the unit didn't do anything. The power light comes on, but when I push the start button, nothing happens. I don't know if I just got the one lemon or if these things are crap. Called Kaz customer service and got a suggestion to add a pinch of salt. That didn't have any effect.
Customer Review: Functionality: GREAT. Manufacture: So-so. Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this because it was one of the best-reviewed of the affordable warm-steam humidifiers out there, and I have not been disappointed in my use of it for a few weeks now. The water tank lasts all night and then some on the low setting, and maybe 5-6 hours on the high setting. I only use it to keep our winter bedroom a bit less dry during these cold months, and for that it is a fine product.
The case and connection between the base, tank, and "electric" portion is kind of flimsily built, as I see it. They're not gonna break or fall apart, but it's not the greatest nor the sturdiest series of connections. But then again, it sits on a table, so what does it matter?
The fact that you have to press the "Start" button every time it gets turned off and then back on is a bit confusing, because you don't know if it's actually DOING anything until steam comes after a few seconds/minutes. The light indicates that the High/Low knob is on, not the start button, you see.
Overall, great humidifier, though!
Customer Review: GREAT HUMIDIFIER !!! Summary: 5 Stars
THIS Duracraft DWM250 2-1/2-Gallon Warm Mist Humidifier WORKS AS BETTER THAN MANY OTHERS I HAVE USED IN THE PAST. EASY TO REFILL AND STARTS TO HUMIDIFY WARM MOIST VAPORS IN 5 MINUTES. I HAVE SINCE PURCHASED 2 MORE. IT WILL GO THROUGH ITS CONTAINER OF WATER IN ABOUT 10 HOURS ON HIGH SETTING. ALSO HAS AUTO SHUT OFF WHEN EMPTY. I PURCHASED THESE AFTER MY DOCTOR ADVISED ME TOO FOR MY YOUNG DAUGHTER TO USE IN WINTER. I ALSO LOOKED AT HONEYWELL, BUT AFTER READING REVIEWS I DECIDED TO GET THIS ONE.

Customer Review: Gets a Good Review for Price and Working Well, BUT it's NOT 2 1/2 Gallons Summary: 4 Stars
This is as big as the unit I sought to replace for my office. I think the entire product that you see in the picture might displace 2 and 1/2 gallons, but there's no way the receptable can hold even one gallon.
Now I run the two identical units (except they have different names) right next to each other. They work better to kick out an exceptable rate of humidity together. So what at first looked like a cheap solution, a shortcut, turned out to be a long cut. I now have these two small humidifiers running together and the result now is good.
If I had to start over, I'd spend about 160 and get a big machine with a large receptable that could direct a visible spray of mist to humidify my office nicely. But these two do fine for me for now. I can't compain because still the price was so good.
I admit I like them because they're quiet.
Postscript: Over a year later and using it every cold day - still working just fine.
Customer Review: Good Buy Summary: 4 Stars
Did a lot of review reading before purchasing this humidifier. In short, I feel this was the best buy for the price! It may or may not be as quality as some $130 warm-air humidifier, but this one certainly works great for our approx. 200sq ft. bedroom. No problems as long as you follow through with cleaning it regularly.
